What are reintegration obligations?
When receiving UWV benefits (WW, WIA, ZW or Wajong), the UWV can require you to participate in reintegration towards work. This may include training, courses, work placements, or medical treatment.
When are obligations unreasonable?
Obligations may be unreasonable if:
- They are medically irresponsible
- The programme doesn't match your education, experience and limitations
- You are already making sufficient efforts
- They conflict with caregiving duties or other serious personal circumstances
Filing an objection
You can object within six weeks against the obligation itself or against a sanction imposed for non-compliance. Strong grounds include medical reasons, disproportionate measures, or unclear expectations.
Your rights
You have the right to a proper reintegration plan, support, input on the direction, reimbursement of costs, and a second opinion from another insurance physician.
